I love the scene in Ladyhawk where they almost can touch, but not... as the sun is coming up and RH is changing from a wolf to a man and MP is turning from a woman into a hawk... I cary every single time I see it... I have seen it like 20 times! LOL<br><br>
And I really like the s*x scene in the second Matrix movie. They look all nasty and pierced. LOL<br><br>

OK I have it narrowed down to 4:<br><br>
1) "Return of the Jedi" - where Darth Vader is fighting his son and struggling with his emotions. Anakin has been "dead" inside him for so long and comes back to life. I just love when Luke throws his lightsaber down and exclaims "I am a Jedi knight, as my father before me"; its the final blow that kills Vader and brings Anakin back to life<br>
2) "Moonstruck" - I love the scene where Loretta is getting ready for her date. She takes the whole day to fix her hair, makeup, listen to jazz, pick out the right dress and dazzles her love. I want to live that scene<br>
3) "Sound of Music" - the wedding scene, I love how Maria is glowing and Georg reaches out his hand to her and the beautiful wedding bells they play<br>
4) "Phantom of the Opera" the kiss Christine gives the Phantom that transforms him. The music they play, the lighting, the swirling around, the way she touches his face and looks into his eyes, its magical

Off the top of my head, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fight scene in <i>Bridget Jones' Diary</i>! Best ever. I don't think I've ever laughed harder in a movie theater.<br><br>
The haunted house ride in <i>Amelie</i>, where he says, "Wooooo" in her ear.<br><br>
The scene in <i>Little Women</i> where Jo meets Laurie and they dance.<br><br>
The end of <i>Sense and Sensibility</i> where Hugh Grant tells Emma Thompson, "My heart has been, and always will be, yours." And she starts bawling. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>

Leaving the leper colony in <i>The Motorcycle Diaries</i>. I sobbed through it. There's this overwhelming sense of the ground shifting beneath Che and he's so thankful for what he's been given while working at the clinic and it just kills me. it's so inspiring and so sad and so humbling to see everything change for someone so young and it just hit me.

Gosh, there are so many.<br><br>
I can think of one in which the music perfectly fits the scene and I almost hold my breath waiting for it...and it's weird cuz I don't necessarily like the actors. Just the way the scene is filmed.<br><br>
It's in The Royal Tenenbaums when Margot (Gwyneth Paltrow) gets off the bus to pick up Richie (Luke Wilson)...it's such a perfect moment. And the music blends so well. I can't really explain why I like it so much. I stop the film and watch that scene over and over.

The last counseling scene in "Good Will Hunting". "It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault..." As Will breaks down and weeps.<br><br>
In "Star Wars Episode 1" as Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jin are getting ready to fight Darth Maul. There's this amazing finality and determination to their faces--they know this guys tougher than either of them but they know they need to fight him. It's awesome.<br><br>
The entire sequence (mainly before the fighting starts) at Bill's house in "Kill Bill II". The way Bill controls the scene is amazing. His manipulation of Kiddo with their kid and then his superman analogy are brilliant.<br><br>
I'll also add possibly the most heart-breaking scene I've ever seen in any movie. The scene in "I am Sam" where the little girl is literally pulled off of her father after he loses custody. The cops have to unpeel her fingers and arms from him as they both sob and sob.<br><br>
There are many, many more of course, but those stand out to me right now.

Someone else mentioned <i>I am Sam</i>, and I love the scene where Sam is trying to leave the outgoing message on his answering machine and his friends are helping. It makes me smile every time.<br><br>
ETA: I just thought of one more. At the end of <i>Whale Rider</i>, where Pikea is in hospital and it appears she might die, and her grandfather sits by her and talks and knows how wrong he has been. Makes me bawl.

In American Pie the wedding one, where his friends plan to throw him a bachelor party and hire some "entertainers" and its all a suprise. Speaking of The Sound of Music, there is that scene where Maria and Georg are in the gazebo together, singing whatever that song is called (somewhere in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good). And there is the proposal and there is a close-up of their faces, but they are mostly scene in silhouette with their heads touching. I recently watched the making of documentary on my special edition dvd and the actors were saying that the scene was supposed to be different, more close-ups and they would talk and kiss but they said with their faces that close together trying to do all that stuff, they started laughing hysterically every time. The director finally decided to pull back and film them in silhouette so it wouldn't be as noticeable and change the kiss to a kiss on the forehead. Julie Andrews said she was still laughing in the scene and even more so when they hugged and her face was away from the camera.
