I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but Lying In: The History of Childbirth in America is a fabulous book (I can't remember the title exactly, but thats close)!

So I did a little research on the ehh "author" of the essay...she writes for PARENTING magazine...sorry, but you would think a national publication wouldn't want this kind of inaccurate idiocy (sorry for the name calling) spread by their employees...not that I hold parenting in very high regard but come on!

Hmmm...a google search earlier gave me articles she had written for both Parenting Magazine and American Baby...now nothing comes up from either magazine's website...maybe they disowned her? I glanced over the two other articles I found...not nearly as bad...hey she knows about breastfeeding...
