I'm a little I honestly didnt know we had an adult vax schedule (aside from tetanus). Why isnt the adult schedule pushed as much as the child's schedule?

If vax's worked as well as they claim then, why arent we seeing huge break outs of vpd's in adults if we need boosters? Either A. Vax's DO work and boosters are "just in case" full immunity isnt there or B. Vax's dont work at all and the vax manufacturers just want to make more money off of adult vax's.

Are adult vax's covered by most insurance companies the way child vax's are?

The CDC is working very diligently in order to get providers to push adult vaccinations, particularly since the recent licensure of two Tdap vaccines.

Also, the CDC and pharma are working very hard to get more vaccines mandated for college entry . . . and it's working. Many colleges have already passed laws (or have laws pending) requiring the chicken pox vaccine and tetanus boosters.

Many states also have laws in place requiring hospitals to offer influenza and pneumococcal vaccines to all admitted elderly patients.

I'll be back with more info.

So what you're saying, LI, is that very soon many of us will be brainwashed into thinking that college kids will DIE of CP if not vaccinated....again....:

This just makes me more and more nauseas.

Yeah...the CDC is now shifting their focus away from pediatric vaccine compliance and focusing on the teens and up.

Here is one of the more recent tactics to increase compliance:

CDC Recommendation

Prenatal assessment of women for evidence of varicella immunity is recommended. Upon completion or termination of their pregnancies, women who do not have evidence of varicella immunity should receive the first dose of varicella vaccine before discharge from the hospital, birthing center, or abortion clinic. The second dose should be administered 4-8 weeks later, after delivery at the post-partum or other health visit.

The use of standing orders is recommended for health care settings where completion or termination of pregnancy occurs to ensure the administration of varicella vaccine

I SAW THIS ONE in Babytalk! I was furious! The other side of the page was an Enfamil ad.

It's pretty bad when I've started turning down a free magazine.

Chickenpox is the new Rubella.
In a few decades you'll be hearing about the hundreds of thousands of babies that used to me maimed by CVS and how lucky modern children are to be born in an era where their mothers are protected by vaccination before pregnancy.

. . . then Hepatitis A will be the new, new rubella:

We therefore recommend that obstetric and liver specialists conduct further studies to evaluate the implications of adding hepatitis A testing and vaccination to the pre-pregnancy screening examinations in areas with high rates of this infection."This may prevent this potentially harmful, yet totally avoidable disease."

When will it end? I can see them making vaccines for everything from hangnails to Cancer ....but at what point will people "catch on" and realize that there is more junk going into us than is helping us. I almost see this eventually coming to a head and then the new trend will be less vaccines.....
