So there was one post where a mama learned that she had options besides the hospital because a pregnant teacher discussed her own waterbirth plans during a 10th grade health class. Has anyone had an opportunity to speak to a highschool health class? How did it go?

I'm partly wondering this because it seems like very few people here actually *choose* a hospital birth for their first birth.

I hae to be brief but wantes to say that I actually WANT to speak in high school health classes and especially in places wher they have teen parent programs in the school. I'm working on a something rightnow, hopefully I will start after this baby arrives.

A friend of mine took her belly to the local primary school when she was invited to, and spoke about how the baby was going to be born at home. She said it was lovely and the kids were fascinated. They were 7 yr olds.
