Hello!
I am please to announce the creation of a Puyallup area SpiralScouts Circle! Dragon’s Rainforest Circle, #120, will be hosting an informational Interest Meeting on Saturday October 22, 2005 at 3:00 pm in the café at the Puyallup Borders Book Store. (Located on Meridian across the street from the South Hill Mall.) We strongly encourage anyone who is interested in participating in SpiralScouts (for this area or not) to attend this meeting. We will do a brief informational presentation and have a “Question and Answer” session. If you are planning on attending, or are interested but cannot attend, please contact Cari at (253) 224-6062 or email her at [email protected] (please leave a message if there is no answer). Children, of course, are welcome to attend this meeting, and we will have a simple craft project for them.
SpiralScouts is an alternative-scouting program for boys and girls ages 3-18. It is much like other youth programs; including badges, crafts, woodland-lore and many other activities. It is geared towards members of minority faiths, but is inclusive and open to all children of all faiths. For more information on the SpiralScouts organization visit: www.spiralscouts.org
We are very much looking forward to meeting you, and we hope to see you at the interest meeting!
Sincerely,
Cari Aida
Wow, it’s great that you got this set up. We thought about starting a circle in Renton but when it came down to it, DH and I just couldn’t make the time commitment. Our kids are young, though, so there is plenty of time for spiral scouts in another year when we are less busy. Good luck with your circle.

Thanks, we're pretty excited. I have a 5 year old daughter and really wanted to get her involved, so since there were no circles any where near us, we figured we were being called to do it. We're hoping for a good turn out at the interest meeting. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me a personal email at [email protected] to RSVP. This way I can have a close to acurate head-count and can make sure I have enough supplies. I will be sending out email reminders probably on thursday the 20th or so.
Great! I can't wait to see everyone there. We will talk about dues and all that stuff at the meeting. But just for info, yearly scout registration is $13.00 and monthly dues are about $5.00.
I can't wait to see everyone on Saturday!

We are also looking for possible regular meeting locations in the Puyallup or Tacoma area, places to advertise the creation of our circle, as well as pagan friendly business that might be willing to help get our program started.
We are very much looking forward to meeting you, and we hope to see you at the interest meeting!
PS, We are also actively working on the development of our Tribe, which will include all active SpiralScout Circles and Hearths in the state of Washington. So, even if you can’t make it to our meetings, we are hoping to encourage the development of Circles across the state as well.

If at all possible, a second parent/guardian should come so that we can get all the information out there as quickly as possible. Please email me if you have any questions.
We are very much looking forward to meeting the new families and seeing the returning ones again, we hope to see you at the Parents Meeting!
Is there any chance y'all would know of a Spiral Scouts group happening in the Portland area? I've searched extensively; sorry and Thank you for your time.
