Does your spiritual belief system involve any prayers, practices, meditations, or rituals aimed at reducing the suffering of others? If so, please share. Thanks.

Yes indeed.

Loving Kindness meditation or "metta" is just that. We first send out compassion/kindness/healing to ourselves and then onto: loved ones, aquaintances, strangers, people we have difficult feeling for, neighborhoods, the world...every thing! There are many different versions of metta, but it comes down to the same thing. Here is a basic version:
May all be well and secure,
May all beings be happy
May all beings be free from harm
May all beings know an end to suffering/know peace

(more from the metta sutra)
Whatever living creatures there be,
Without exception, weak or strong,
Long, huge or middle-sized,
Or short, minute or bulky,
Whether visible or invisible,
And those living far or near,
The born and those seeking birth,
May all beings be happy!
Let none deceive or decry
His fellow anywhere;
Let none wish others harm
In resentment or in hate.

Here is an article about Metta by Sharon Salzberg.

I am also fond of this prayer:

Most merciful God,
bless all who have suffered trauma
in their lives.
Support them with love
during their time of shock.
Grace them with peace
as they wrestle with the challenges
of each day.
Sustain them in hope
as they prepare for the days ahead.
Amen.
