My sisters fiances sister (aka her future SIL) had a baby girl in June ... well she sent me a bunch of clothes for the new baby (which is awesome i have used over 70 hangers on 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes) ... anyway there was a third bag of stuff so i open it .. and it is over 100 sposies (i counted i think 103) that are open in a bag. They are all size 2's ... so now what do i do with these things? Can i donate them .. i mean heck they have been opened ... DH thinks i should save them for just incase well i dont think i will have 100 just incases when she fits in a size 2 diaper. I can see keeping a dozen or so for that ... If i toss them they would be like a double envriomental booboo (in my eyes) ... Would a shelter take them being they have been opened ? Anyway ... blah on sposies ...

I would donate them, at least when they get thrown away they will have been used once. I do keep about 4-5 sposies for the "just in case", but I've had the same 4-5 for about 3 months!LOL

I would donate them. I keep a few sposies in the car only just in case. But, I would just call the women's shelter or something of that nature.

I agree, call a women's shelter they always need baby things(you might also roundup some baby clothes etc, that you're not very fond of and maybe formula samples you've received in the mail)

When I had my first baby I was given a shower where my aunt made me a diaper cake...it looked like a wedding cake except it was made of sposies glued together, and decorated with plastic toys and pacifiers and things (it was actually quite beautiful to look at, but the plastic diapers gave me a sinking feeling when I looked at it). Anyway, I brought it to the shelter (along with some baby clothes that didn't fit him) and they were happy to pull the glued sposies apart to use them...so I'm pretty sure some place will take your unglued, unwrapped sposies.

I agree that donating them to a women's shelter would be great. These women leave their homes with nothing but their children and the clothes on their backs. I donated some sposies to one in open packages and they were thrilled. You can find one in your area through this link:

http://www.networkforgood.org/
