Hi!

I haven't been online much hardly. I can barely keep up with life anymore. Being pregnant with a tantruming 2 year old, a homeschooled 9 yo, and a DH who is gone 2-3 weeks a month is sometimes just too much. Coupled that with some pretty bad depression days... <sigh> :

Is it too late to answer questions?

Answer as you have time and I completely understand what you are going through right now. Dh doesn't travel often but he has some coming up. My mom usually tries to come visit when he is gone in June and just can't this year. I have no idea how I am going to cope. Probably better than the year I was worried I would have the baby before he got back.

I'm a small town Southern girl and this city life leaves little to be desired... especially a city like Detroit.

Is this your first kiddo? If I am lucky with a bit of time for myself, I will have time for myself for Bible study and reading. I don't run errands or stuff like that much anymore - too hard with a 2 yo who HATES the car seat wit a passion! :

What plans do you have for your birth? We are planning a home birth. What type of music do you like? Who are your favorite bands/singers/musicians? I usually listen to contemporary Christian music. I grew up (and still like) country as well. Favorite Christian singers include MercyMe, FFH, ZoeGirl, and Casting Crowns. Favorite country singers are Randy Travis and Martina McBride.

What are your favorite books (adult books)? Hmm... Bible... any of Ted Dekker's books. Love love Dekker. Also like Frank Peretti. Francine Rivers. Baldacci. Patterson. I like thrillers. Mostly Christian fiction thrillers but I read secular thrillers, too.

What are your favorite children's books? Around here we *love* Boyton books. I find most toddler books to be so boring, unimaginative, but Boyton adds fun to her books. Older kid books that are popular here: the Black Stallion series, any of Margaret Henry books (i.e. Misty of Chincoteague), the Dragons in our Midst series, and Little House on the Prairie.

Any hobbies? Um... when I ever have time? In a former life I was a web designer, so I still do that on the side. What is your greatest hope?

My greatest hope is that my children grow up to be God-fearing adults. I want them to have a strong foundation of faith that will guide them through the tough choices in life.

your biggest fear?

Oh, boy... currently, my DH's company is laying off people. With no notice. Just because. My fear is that we will get a layoff notice and with the baby coming... well, I'd be freaking!

Do you have any tatoos? Nope... no tattoos. Although when I was in the military I almost got one. But I am a wimp to pain so I chickened out.

What is your favorite type of vacation?

I would *love* to have a vacation like my honeymoon again!! : It was in the country of northern Alabama (near Huntsville) at a tiny bed-n-breakfast. So quiet. There's was not even a phone there. It was gorgeous!!

What kind of shoes do you usually wear?

None! I hate shoes. I own 3 pairs total... a blue pair of Keds-wanna-be, a pair of black flats, and tennis shoes. My money goes towards my carrier collection, not shoes!

How did you meet your so?

Through mutual friends. It is a long soap opera story, though! If you wanna hear it, I'll post it!

Where did you grow up?

panhandle of Florida. I miss home, still.

It is tough! Lucky you that you have family. We moved up here because of a job relocation but there are basically little friends and no family. It as been really hard with DH being gone and I am basically by myself. Normally, it is not a big deal but being pregnant - well, it is tougher than I can sometimes cope with. I have a history of deep depression whenever I am pregnant. It always extends into PPD, too. Last pregnancy I tool Zoloft just to survive. This pregnancy I am trying more natural intervention: B-Complex, Flax Seed Oil, etc. SO far it seems to be helping.
