Okay, well, I guess I'm going to have to send reminders out to everyone the day before they are supposed to start the Spotlight on thread.

Cujobunny, sorry for the delay in getting the spotlight on you today!

For today, to start, just one question:

Where on earth did you come up with your user name??

More ???s tomorrow, I promise!

Have a great night,
Judi

It's OK, I had no access to internet yesterday anyway, it's not hooked up at my new house yet so I have to wait until I get to work to go online

Anyway, for my user name, Bunny was a nickname my brother gave to me when I was a teenager (I'm not too sure why...) and Cujo is the nickname of Curtis Joseph who was a goaltender with the Toronto Maple Leafs a few years ago and my favourite player at the time (I'm a huge hockey fan). I put the two names together when I first started using email and now I use the name for pretty well everything.

Here's something I was fantasizing about today.....

If you could have someone in to help you do one thing (all the time) would it be:

a cleaning person

a chauffer

A cook

a gardener (who shovels snow in winter time)

a nanny

a handyman

a pool boy

Also, what is your favorite time of the day?

I think I'd have to go with the cleaning person - I don't have a dishwasher and I HATE doing dishes. Second choice would be a gardener because I kill plants. I just moved to my first house though so we'll see how I do with an outdoor garden...

My favourite time of day is mid-morning... ds is usually in a good mood then and I'm feeling awake and energized (he's an early riser and I am NOT - but I don't have any choice). On days I work, my favourite time of day would be evening, when dh is home with us and we are all together.
What is one thing we might be very surprised to know about you?

What has been your favorite comfort food so far this pregnancy?

What is the most noteworthy thing anyone has said or done for you so far this pregnancy?

What is your favorite animal (real or mythical) and why?

Probably that I didn't finish high school, but I am very smart (family and friends say a genius, lol)

What has been your favorite comfort food so far this pregnancy?
Chocolate bars
especially Snickers

I have a friend from my hometown whose wife told me I was a champ for still nursing ds. She is a nice person but much more mainstream and that was not the reaction I thought I would get from her for nursing a 2 yr old while pregnant.

What is your favorite animal (real or mythical) and why?
Rabbit of course. They are cute and represent spring to me!

WHat is your favorite color?

Do you enjoy pregnancy?

WHat is your favorite color?
Light blue

March 3, 2005

Do you enjoy pregnancy?
I love it, especially now that I am feeling movement. In fact I'm feeling kicks right now

are you planning on tandeming?
I'm not sure yet. I don't think so. The only time he really nurses now is to sleep at night. I think I'm losing my supply. He asks for it, I offer it to him but he doesn't seem interested in actually doing it. I don't mind nursing two though, I am going to play it by ear.

Okay, hello, I'm back,

Have you left Canada? Where was your favorite out-of-Canada place you've visited?

or

If you haven't left Canada, where would your dream vacation abroad take you?
How were your previous births spirtual to you?

How are you planning on making this one spirtual?

What do you wish you had known before your previous births?

If you could do something (not nessesarily birth/mothering related) in your life over again, what would you do the same/different?

I have been out of Canada. When I was 12 we went to Disney World. When I was 13 we visited friends of my parents in Maine. Last November, dh, ds and I went to the Bahamas. My mom lives in Royal Oak, MI so I go and visit her every so often. Dh and I have also been to New York City and Chicago. I think New York would win as my favourite. I would love to go to Europe though esp Scotland or Ireland.
How were your previous births spirtual to you?
I wouldn't say my previous birth was spiritual, really, though it was a magical experience to see the life that had been inside me for 9 months.

How are you planning on making this one spirtual?
I plan on trusting my body and nature and being in tune with what is happening. I am not a religious person.

What do you wish you had known before your previous births?
That babies don't sleep! And that early labour can last a LONG time and not to rush to the hospital.

If you could do something (not nessesarily birth/mothering related) in your life over again, what would you do the same/different?
Definitely finish high school
Sorry for the confusion, I am not talking about spirtual in a religious sence, you don't have to be "religious" to be spirtual, you just need to exist. You used the word magical, that works too. I am talking about what the whole experence did for you on a deep personal level. Not a religious thing, if that is not you, kwim?
What is your favorite thing about your DH? That thing that makes you look at him and think "oooh, I just love that man!"

What do you think your best quality is as a human being that you hope to pass on to your children?

Oh I see, that does clear it up, I was confused. Yes, the connection and love I felt when seeing him for the first time is indescribable. This time I definitely hope to be more in tune with my body, understanding what is going on and working with it to get through the labour. First time around I was definitely more nervous and scared.. scared of the pain, scared of what was going to happen.

His strength, both physically and emotionally. He is a very hard worker and very loyal.

I can only pick one?
My memory. I don't forget a thing.

Careful with that one - it may come back to haunt you!

What is your favorite season in the great white north?

I thought of that after I posted... also that it's not necessarily always a good thing to remember everything!

What is your favorite season in the great white north?
I love late spring and early autumn when it's not too hot.
