Just got back in town! Thanks for doing this, MamaFern!

1. Do you like Mondays? Not really. Not for any particular reason, I think just because I always hated going back to school when I was a kid!

2. What is your favorite thing to have for breakfast? Depends on the day, but cafe au lait and fresh bread with butter and jelly is one of my favorites.

3. Is there a band of type of music you listen to when house cleaning? I have a "cleaning" playlist with some Coldplay, White Stripes, RHCP, and the Oh Brother Where Art Thou songs (most of them). The kids like this music and it's fast so it gets me working.

What's your favorite way to pamper yourself? I don't know if I pamper myself...I paint my toe nails sometimes.

What is your favorite season and why? Fall, by far. Cool weather, pumpkins, Halloween, leaves falling. Just makes me all happy inside to think about fall.

What are you most looking forward to about having a new babe? I'm still kinda in shock, but I love just watching and holding the baby and playing with the tiny little hands and feet.

Where are you planning on birthing? At home. Maybe in a birthing pool, maybe not.

What do you love about where you live? I can afford a house. I don't like where I live but it's close to family and affordable.

Do you garden? Yes, I do. We just collected two big bowls of peas but the slugs got our strawberries.

What's your favorite household thing you love to do (cook? laundry? dust?)? Oh gawd. None of it! I used to love more domestic things but I'm a little burned out. So I'll go with alphabetizing my books.

Do you have any intuitive feelings on wether this little one is a girl or boy? I'm thinking boy.

A place in the world you'd like to visit, if you could go anywhere at all? Great Britain-all of it.

What foreign language do you love the sound of? Any. But especially French or Scottish.

Your favorite flower? This is a toughie. I love portulacas a lot, and they came to mind first. So we'll go with that answer.

Mac or PC? Macs rule, PCs drool.

Beach or mountains? Beach-as long as it's not too hot.

Have you bought/made anything exciting yet for the baby? Bought some diapers and a couple monkey shirts from Gymboree. That's all so far. I'm excited for the new organic Indian prefolds, though. I've been wanting some for ages.

How did you come up with your screen name? I am a crazy cat lady and wanted something fairly anonymous. It's one of my pet names for my cat that always sits on my lap while I play on the computer.

How many pets do you have and what are they? 5 cats- one Ragdoll, her 3 kids, and a stray kitten we brought in last year. We also have a 4 year old border collie/lab mix.

How are you feeling during your pregnancy? I'm feeling better now. I was feeling like death warmed over for a long while.

Do you think you will have the baby early, on time, or late? I'm thinking right around time to maybe a couple days late. I keep telling dh that the baby needs to work around me seeing the next Harry Potter premier.

What is it about Great Britain that you would love so much to see/experience? Besides the accents? I am into genealogy and most of my family comes from Ireland, Scotland, and England. I love the landscape and am a total nerd who reads every history book on these areas I can get my hands on.

What type of cuisine is your favorite? Which particular dishes? Southern or Greek at the moment. My grandma's biscuits with fried apples and cornmeal gravy is my favorite Southern dish. I would kill for some Baklava right now, though. lol

If you could go back in time and live one day over, to which age would you go back? Why? Of my life? The day my first child was born. Why? It was definitely a good and defining moment in my life.

What activity do you love to do with your girls? Gardening. They love digging in the dirt.

Do you have siblings? If so, are you close? I have 3 brothers. We're not really close. We used to be closer, but they are a lot younger and we've had family issues.

When you were a kid, what did you want to do when you grew up? Are you still interested in that now? A zoologist (specialty of big cats) or an egyptologist. I'm still interested. Not so much in the whole full time job that would take over my life outside of my home, though. I still read a lot on both when I can.

What is your favorite dessert? Chocolate chip cookies. That I make. They're the best.

Are you a morning person or a night owl? Night!

I noticed your picture with Lost, did you like the season finale last night? No. I was pretty disappointed. It wasn't terrible...I just felt a little let down with the lack of answers and depressing (to me) ending.

What was it like to go from 3 to 4 kids for you? Easy peasy. 2 to 3 was hard. We were outnumbered! 4 was pretty easy, though. Hopefully 5 will be, too.

How old are your kids? 2.5, 5, 8, and 9 years old.

Do you homeschool, or do your kids go to school? We homeschool. I've been burned out so wishing I had a school to send them to around here if I needed to, but it will pass by Fall and I do enjoy it.

Thanks, everyone. You all are far more creative at asking questions than I am!

I don't have cable, so we do hulu or netflix if something catches our eye. I like Glee, X-Files, My Name is Earl, and Dexter. I don't know what to watch now that most of my shows are off the air!

You say you have too many pets? What kind do you have? I'd love to have more than just fish, but I'm allergic.

Pets: 5 cats and 1 dog. I've had iguanas, hedgehogs, just about everything. But this is what we have for now. There just wasn't room for each to have their own place in my siggy!

Favorite movie? Labyrinth

Favorite band/artist? Tough one. Coldplay or Elizabeth Mitchell at the moment.

Favorite book? Another toughie! I have 3 large bookshelves of just my adult "favorites". I would say Cold Mountain or Les Miserables. But I can't knock HP, LOTR, or two Roddy Doyle books off of my list at the same time! If we make it series, can we say 5 way tie?

I know what you mean about favorite books. There's no way I could pick just one. It's nice knowing you're a Harry Potter fan. I have Cold Mountain in my bookshelf waiting to be read, I thought it might be a little boring, but now I have to read it!
