Thanks!!! I know this is a bit late but I thought I would fire off anyway! I have been on bedrest for a few days because I bled a lot after the birth and my hemoglobin was way low, but I am perking up a bit now!
How is everyone adapting to the baby?
Now we are getting a rhythm. Big brother Sam is having the hardest time but he is starting to mellow out now
How long have you been a doula?
The first birth I went to was 8 years ago, though at the time I had no idea what a doula was.Then I went through DONA training 4 yrs ago, did some private births, now I work in a hospital based program
Did you have a doula with you for your birth as well?
I did, I swear by them!
How old is your other son?Was he there for the birth?
My big baby boy will be three in October!!! He was there for the birth! It went really well, we had watched waterbirth videos together so he had been going on about the baby coming out in the water for a while. He just watched and when the baby was born and we were stimulating him he kept telling us to stop bugging the baby, to leave him alone and for me to nurse him so he wouldn't cry. It was really sweet.
