Hmm let's see. Hi I'm Sarah I'm 30 (and wow is it strange to say that I still remember being 15 and thinking 30 was ancient). DH and I have been married for 7 years and together for 12 years now we met at a gaming club at University. We have one son Desmond who is 20 months, and now with this pregnancy a DD on the way as well. We live in the DC metro area and DH is a contractor for a company that works for the federal government he is a computer programmer type person. I am a SAHM.

My family is semi large, I am one of 4, my sister who is 18 months younger then me is married, and my sister and brother (the twins) are both in serious relationships. My brother actually now lives less then an hour away, but my parents and both my sisters are in Atlanta Georgia so a couple of hours by plane away. DS and I tend to visit them 3 to 4 times a year and DH comes with us at least once if not twice a year. My mother is also up in this area at least 4 times a year and I tend to see my Dad one or two more times a year as well. I also have a lot of cousins and aunts, uncles and grandparents about 2 1/2 hours away since my Mom is one of 8 and most of them live in Richmond, VA. I tend to see my Dad's sister a couple of times a year because both they and my parents have a lake house in the Atlanta area and they are there fairly frequently, so I see them two to four times a year. I don't see my Dad's brother or my cousin there that frequently due to family issues and such. I have 4 living Grandparents at this point in time, which is fairly amazing, but unfortunately it is likely that DD will not get to meet at least one or two of them since my Grandfather was just diagnosed with terminal liver cancer (6 months to live) and my Grandmother on the other side has late stage Althemizer (spelling off).

DH on the other hand has a fairly small family, he is an only child, and has 2 aunts in the US. His parents live 45 minutes or so from us, so we do tend to see them weekly, or at least bi-weekly, especially since DS arrived. His aunts and 1 living grandmother all live within about a 90 minute drive of us as well, so we see them on occasion as well. DH's Dad is one of 8 as well, but his whole family is back in India so we don't see them that often. We actually went over at the end of October so DS could meet everyone, but we are unlikely to go back for another 4 to 5 years, since it is a long and expensive trip.

My favorite vegetable would be the sweet potato, yummy! Followed by Asparagus and Broccoli.

We have 4 bathrooms in our town house, two of them are still white, from when we moved in 6 years ago, of the other two one is pale purple and one is green and yes I chose the colors for those.

The day I got my BFP, was the day before DH's 31st birthday, I just went to pee on a stick in the bathroom and came back and told DH. It was kind of anticlimactic actually since we were more or less expecting it.

As for my favorite way to spend a couple of hours on a weekend, either snuggled up in a chair reading a book or scrapbooking. Though I tend to spend most of my hours both weekend and not being used as a climb toy for DS.

Anyways hi all, feel free to ask any questions.

Definitely more of an indoor person. I don't mind the outside, but prefer to be infoors.

Hmm favorite board game is tough, I do like Carcassonne it is a lot of fun, as is Settlers of Catan. I really like St. Petersburg as well as a bunch more games. We play and own a lot of board games around here. We tend to get together with friends once a month or every 2 months to play board games which is nice.

No food I can think of that I liked as a child and don't like now. I've always been a fairly good eater and my tastes have expanded some as I've been exposed to more foods, but I haven't really stopped liking anything.

Relax, everything is a lot easier then it seems. Follow your own intuition as well, despite what people might tell you, you do know what is best for your child even if it is different then what they did.

Actually it is a fairly compact townhouse. We did buy it because of the 4 bathrooms. It is only 1500 sq ft or so though. We will definitely be a bit squished once DD gets here.

I just like to hang out with my family, but going out and watching DS' face as he sees new things is a lot of fun too, I love watching him at the Aquarium watching the dish (fish) and at the zoo seeing all the animals and pointing to them.

One wish, probably to have all out debt paid off. If it was all paid off it would make life quite comfortable and give us a lot more options then we have now. Slightly less realistic would be to have 10 million dollars after taxes, but I'd take all our debts paid off.

Nice, we actually have both games on the xbox360 to play when we can't get a game going with others, or DS is demanding one of our attention.

As for the house we looked at a bunch of houses, and most of them were only 1 and a half baths. The main reason we put a bid in on this one was the 4 bathrooms (well 3 and 1/2), it so makes life so much easier, even before DS, and now with him it really makes everything so nice, since we can shower in the basement without worrying about waking him up when he's sleeping upstairs. Actually I remember calling my Mom and asking her which house we should bid on, and she was like "The one with all the bathrooms, you can never go wrong with more bathrooms, 1 and a half baths will be a pain once you have children." So I listened to my Mom.

Are you planning a homebirth, birth center, or hospital birth?

Have you been buying lots of girly things?

What kind of books do you like to read?

Hospital VBAC is the hope. The nearest birth center is just a bit too far away to feel comfortable going there, and DH won't agree to a home birth, even though the hospital is only 5 minutes away so hospital it is.

I've bought some girly things, but not a ton, we still have all of DS' stuff so she'll be wearing a lot of that at least until she's into 6 month clothes. With DS he grew so fast, that I refuse to buy ahead for this one, so I just bought a couple of girly newborn and 0-3 month outfits to fill out the wardrobe I had for DS. I figure when she hits 6 month size she'll probably end up with a bunch more clothes, though.

I like to read anything, my main authors write fantasy/sci-fi and romance, but I am a huge reader so I read anything I find that looks interesting, the only books I don't read are horror.
