I have some wool that I goofed on lanolizing once. I didn't melt the lansinoh good enough and there were tiny bits of lanolin that got on my wool. They were tiny little things, but once they got on the wool they melted into larger spots. When I clean the wool (I have rubbed Suds n Duds, 409, baby shampoo, and Kookaburra wool wash into the spots) it looks clean. But after my baby scoots around on the floor a while the spots reappear. Now these are on the same exact locations so they are not new spots from a dirty floor or anything. It is minor dust that adhears to the spots that had the lanolin on it, but not the rest of the soaker. Short of dyeing with Koolaid do I have any hope?? Any advice?? I am almost ready to give up on wool cuz I am constantly washing the soakers.

wash them out with dawn or woollite then wash and re lanolize again.

The strong soap will strip the lanolin completely and give you totally clean woolies to work with.
