Hi mamas,
I had my first ob appointment 2 days ago, at 8 weeks. She did a cervical swab as part of her exam. That night my partner and I had sex....and the next day, about 24 hours after the appointment, I had some medium to dark brown staining on TP when I went to the bathroom. And then a couple more times over that hour, a tiny bit later that night, and a bit a couple of times today. I've had a miscarriage before and the bleeding didn't stop when it started. Anyone experience any spotting after a pelvic exam like this? I'm trying not to worry. Thanks.

yeah, it has happened to me. Everytime they have told me to expect some spotting. But to call if it ddn't stop, turned bright red, or there was cramping. I think they should always say stuff like that if they are going to examine you.

Thanks, everyone, for your helpful sharing! I feel much better after hearing about your experiences. I have had no more spotting, and definitely more sex! My BF was worried, too, but now he also feels better. Now I'll know not to be surprised if it happens again.

Mama love,

My MW doesn't give internals so that isn't an issue for me but I have some spotting about every 10th time we have sex. I guess sometimes he just hits a certain area/spot that is more fryable. Nothing to worry about.
