spotting

I am seven weeks pregnant and yesterday I had a really small amt of light pink spotting. I have had this two other times before i found out i was expecting, but it is so light you can barely notice. I am told this is normal but i cant help to worry. I go to the dr tomorrow but its hard not to think bad things. I have had some back aches and some dull abdominal pain, nothing that is sharp and severe though. I read it can be caused by burrowing of the embryo and uterine stretching, causing blood vessels to rupture. Sill nervous!

I got my BFP at 12 DPO and literally, within minutes of getting it, I started spotting. It came and went for about a week. One morning there was even bright red on the tp when I wiped. I am only 5 wks, 4days today, but it has stopped and everything seems fine now. My midwife sent me for an ultrasound last week to make sure it wasn't ectopic and we were able to see the gestational sac and yolk sac. I know it's early, but things seem to be progressing well. My spotting was only enough to show up on the tp, and I never had cramps with it. It was also very sporadic, sometimes it would be there, sometimes it wouldn't. Still, each time I saw it, I couldn't help but worry. I am still taking my temp every a.m. and they are still really high so that's comforting. I know how unnerving it is to see, but odds are good that everything will be fine for both of us.

I spotted with DS, pink to brownish, about weeks 5-7, and and spotted again with current pregnancy for about the same time span. I totally freaked out with the first one, but have since read so many stories of spotting, that it seems really really common. Certainly if you're going for an appt tomorrow I'd ask about it and see what they say, but generally as long as you don't have bad cramps and lots of red blood, I would try not to worry too much about it.

A few weeks ago, someone here posted a quote from her midwife saying that the first trimester is all about being obsessed with toilet paper. I got a great laugh out of that - so true!

Anyway, I hope that's reassuring. Good luck to you!

I'm another one who has spotted both this time and last time. My first pregnancy I was spotting so much and for so long I went in for 2 u/s because it seemed like something was wrong.
This time it was very brief. I have crampy feelings and downright ouch feelings around my uterus pretty regularly, like I can't get up too fast or it feels uncomfortable. I think some of this is very common and I've read about it happening quite a bit. It is nerveracking though
