I've sprouted before, but always things with tiny seeds.

Right now I've got a container of wheat berries and a container of pinto beans sprouting on my kitchen counter. They are doing well but I just realized I don't know how to eat these. The pinto beans in particular. Do I seperate the sprouts from the beans? Or eat the whole thing?

The wheat berries are larger than I'm used to but look like they'd be ok to eat whole.

For wheat berries, I have only eaten the sprouts ground up for crackers, cookies or bread. There are some great recipes in Sproutman's Kitchen Garden Cookbook.

For pinto beans, you might need to steam them to make them edible.
