At my baby shower I was telling a friend of mine about how cloth diapers have come a long way, how you can buy things like FuzziBunz or fitted diapers with snap covers.
I told her that the FB's are about $15 new, and she started calculating how even at that price it might be a better deal than disposables. I told her that of course you can buy diapers used and bring the price down considerably, and she made a face and said, "Yuck."
Now, this friend is pretty open-minded usually, but she doesn't have any kids of her own. I don't either (yet) but I've been a stepmom and nanny for ten years, so I know that kids puke, drool, spit-up, pee and poop on everything -- their clothes, my clothes, the couch, etc.
I am so not phased by cloth diapers other kids have used but have been washed in hot water! I mean, does she think if you get a diaper service (which she thinks is a good idea) that they give you new diapers every time?
Just thought this was funny!
