My dd got sick late last night throwing up and continued to do so until early this morning. She still dosnt feel well. I would figure a virus but she has also broken out on her face. The rash/redness appeared shortly before she started throwing up. It dosnt really look like eczema which she has so I am familiar with it. It dosnt feel ruff at all. Very smooth actually. It dosnt turn white when I press on it either.

Here are pictures:
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...h/100_5006.jpg
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...h/100_5008.jpg
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...h/100_5009.jpg
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...h/100_5011.jpg

It is mostly on the left side across her temple and forehead but there is some on her right check as well. It gets redder if she is laying on that side. She might have had a very low grade fever last night but nothing major.

Does it look like something I should be concerned about or probably part of a virus maybe? Any thoughts appriciated.

If she has eczema, does she have a known food allergy/intolerance trigger? And could she have gotten into it and the vomiting and rash are a reaction?

The way it looks is tickling something in my brain but I can't figure out what. It doesn't look like eczema to me, but it looks familiar.... ugh... old brain.

Could it be a bug bite? Or hives? Does she have it anywhere else?

It is no where else on her body and I didnt see any bite or raised spot anywhere. The hives she has had in the past where very raised and itched like crazy this dosnt itch at all.

She does have food triggers peanuts, tree nuts and eggs. But she didnt have anything to eat that she hadnt eaten before. We bought some bbq chicken that we eat a lot but it is possible they may have cooked it in a different oil I just dont know. Since it hit her about 15 min after eating the first piece.

Can you have roseola more than once? She had that when she was around 3. It looked something like this but not as concentrated and it was all over.

Could it be fifths disease even though it isnt really on her cheeks? I am looking at some pictures of it and it looks a bit similar but I am still reading.

Hives don't have to be itchy or raised though they can be. IgE? If it came that close a reaction to the food, I'd suspect it. It looks like something my DD2 has had. Really familiar, but I can't place it (and she's got food intolerances, not allergies). If it was Fifths Disease, wouldn't it be both cheeks? If it were me, I'd call the place where you got the chicken, and ask for ingredients and how it was prepared. But that's just me. I always suspect food first, especially if it's not made by me.
