I finally did it - I took pics of our stash (last week) and got them processed and uploaded and here they are:<br><br>
Since then we've gotten rid of some and added quite a few more - but you get the idea <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"><br><br><a href="http://www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b3290efc846f" target="_blank">http://www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=...21b3290efc846f</a><br>

Aww - how sweet <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
Yes - I did those myself. I just used a cheap-o Wal-Mart kit (in the craft section - it's called Rainbow Rock)<br><br>
I did the "stripe" method - the directions are in the kit - it's like $9.99 <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"><br><br>
Thank you all for the kind words, though! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

That is the BEST thing about tye dye, there is NO wrong way of doing it! I took a bunch of prefolds and some t-shirts, we soaked them (they give you the stuff in the kit) and then let the kids (aged 4 and 3) tie them and bind them however they wanted, and sqirt the dye too (little help there so I wouldn't have a dyed kitchen) but their shirts turned out beautiful! And they obviously have NO experience doing it at all! LOL As for the prefolds, I took and bound some with the rubber bands and left some unbound, then I did the colors I wanted, for the unbound ones I just balled them in a ball and sqirted randomly with different colors, left it all balled up and set the dye (also they will tell you this in the kit) they all turned out great! I am totally in love with them. Matter of fact I had to order more prefolds yesterday to satisfy my dying habit.....LOL So I strongly urge you to give it a try, I even got all fancy with one of Joe's shirts and actually followed the pattern in the book (rainbow swirl) and it turned out GREAT! We did 2- 3x shirts (me and DH) 2-8/10 shirts (two older boys) and 2- 2/4 shirts (both Joe) and then 6 prefolds with 1/2 the amount of dye in the big kit (it was $19.99 at walmart). So I still have enough dye to do lots more! ~
