At some point in time I think we will be able to create a thread which breaks down each state into important data that we have all figured out... but for right now as most of you know I have kind of tried to put together a thread of some help...

first of all be sure and check out this thread...for some state data if you don't find what you are looking for here:

http://216.92.20.151/discussions/sho...threadid=65918

nemmer added this by the way..

http://www.immunize.org/states/index.htm

this is suppose to have state by state stuff..

but anyway, here is the list that I have compiled until we get that other thread up and running..

Basic all state notes

Suschi’s exemption list:

I have been collecting exemption info state by state over the years to help others that were asking about their particular state. I must have over 6000 bookmarks for vaccine info, and have the state info fairly organized. After reading your post, I thought I would put together a web page (as web illiterate as I am) that has the state info. I haven't finished yet, but it will include exemptions for many states, not all, as well as helpful state specific sites. Here's what I have so far...
http://pages.ivillage.com/suschi/va...exemption_info/

New site with current STATE by STATE info, still in progress

Cool link for all the states

Okay.... I got a guy to help me today....

Here is the deal, if you don't like the stats from your state... meaning you want more details or more current info than your state has...

go to t his website.....here's the data

I spoke to a doctor at the CDC today.... he told me that at the end of the MMW report it lists the cumulative report for all diseases. It is pretty interesting. It breaks it down to states.

anyway, here it goes, take a look the current issue.

http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/mmwr_wk.html

and he said:

If you want to know total reported numbers for a given year, go to the MMWR for the last week of December of that year and check out the tables at the end. Here is the link for that for 2002, but it mayu not come through, so you may have to search it from the general MMWR site.

http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/PDF/wk/mm5150.pdf
if for some reason it clicks you to a page that doesn't have the report ...on that 'error' page it will have a link on there to the public health general page... go there and then look for public health, then communicable diseases...

Pennsylvania

just put a call into the epidimeology dept for Penn..I left word asking for the link to the disease roport or have them fax it to me.
When I hear back from them I'll post.

However, state departments can be notoriously slow to return out of state calls....my experience. So, if I don't hear back I suggest you call them

(717)783-4677

tell them you are looking for the annual report whatever the latest one they have...that indicates that there were 3 cases of measles, 2 cases of rubella, 4 cases of tetanus... whatever.. I always give them an example so that they will send me the right report or link to the right report.

by the way, the county and state links frequently change and some times the link will fall apart but what I have noticed is that it will still get you to the general page...you can usually poke around on that thread and find 'infectious disease' report.
let me know if you need help.

Tracy, I just came accross this old post from last year. Could you give us some updates on it. Some of the links do not work. This is a lot of info that maybe should be made into a sticky.

Thanks,
