I wonder if people sometimes forget that she elected to have a c-section because she was afraid of labor pains. It would be more lifelike if it was a statue of her laying on an operating table.
What. A. Crock. Yes, I agree w/pp. He could certainly have chosen a better example of a woman giving birth! She would NEVER be someone I'd choose to depict childbirth!
I agree, thats whats so interesting that this artist decided to depict her. And in the statue, she looks so powerful- I mean whats more powerful than having a baby on a bear rug? Pretty interesting... I wonder what Britney thinks...
I don't care who it is, I love the statue. It doesn't look like Britney to me at all. I love the depiction of women as sexual, birthing beings.
I know my c/s didn't look anything like that. The closest it came is when they were holding my legs over my head so the spinal would spread. It is an interesting statue though... I wonder if smaller reproductions will be sold.
I would love it if it wasn't supposed to be Britney.

Shouldn't she be posed seductively on her back with a team of surgeons surrounding her?

Why not pam anderson or Cindy Crawford, you know women who had natural births. Not someone who did a c-sec for no good reason.
Yeah that to all of the above!

I think it's an amazing piece of art, but I don't know why he made it be Brittany. Luckly, it doesn't really look much like her, so we can imagine the statue is just some beautiful, strong, birthing woman.
