what are you (first time) mamas doing to keep busy during these last weeks if your activity level is suddenly drastically cut back and you desperately need distraction?

i've been: reading, taking baths, doing self-hypnosis/relaxation exercises for hypnobirthing, cooking, playing scrabulous on facebook, posting and reading here of course, and going to see movies while i still can. my crafting projects are all stalled because the yarn i need is backordered. and bending over fabric to cut became too hard on my lower back, so all sewing projects are halted.

I have become an internet junkie-I played on facebook sending messages to my brother all day long and I posted and lurked on MDC.

Tomorrow I will go to work and compulsively complete all paperwork because once the paperwork is done, and the hospital bag packed the baby can come.

We also saw a movie today, and went to Target. I had to be pushed around in a wheelchair though 'cause my a$$ hurts!!

I feel super busy getting ready for Christmas and Baby and Post partum. I've got lots of meals in the freezer so that's done at least. I have Thank you notes to write from my showers, stuff to list on ebay to sell, newborn stuff to wash. . . .we still haven't switched dd into her "new" room yet-That's probably my biggest project. I have to limit my internet time and just use it as a "reward" for myself after I've accomplished some stuff on my HUGE "TO DO" list!

Internet junkie here. I don't have much left to do after the productivity burst this weekend, and my activity level just *can't* be that high. I overdid it this weekend while nesting, and I didn't even DO that much! But now I can barely even walk to the bathroom without help. Stupid slipped disc! I plan to just read and go online and rest up as much as I can.

Adding movies to my Netflix queue. Then watching them. Then adding more.

Or, when I'm in too much freeeking pain to get half comfortable, & am full of itchiness & insatiable hunger, I sit here on mdc eating apples & cheese while the rest of my family is sound asleep.

I love your baby blanket! The colors are beautiful. What baby wouldn't want to come out NOW to be wrapped up in such a lovely blanket?!

I overdid it last wknd, so I've been ordered to slow down by dp. Unfortunately, I can't work on any scrapbooking/anything crafty b/c my hands and back hurt so much.
I did spend 30 minutes last night writing dp a "honey do" list for before the baby gets here. To soften the blow, I included fun to do items. i.e., after "scrub bathroom tub and sink" I listed "seduce me - starting in our sparkling bathroom" : After he read the list, he actually kissed me and told me I was sweet! I've gotta remember that for the next time I need him to do something
