Hello hello
I have done the same stupid thing as I did years ago and thought I had learned my lesson!
I cheat with fusible interfacing and just put it over the cut piece, iron it on then cut around it. I don't know where my head was but I did it directly with my iron instead of ironing over a cloth. I now have sticky interfacing stuff on the sole plate of my new iron (the other one gave out after 6 years!).
I have tried bicarb and a microfibre cloth which cuts most things but to no avail.
Is there anything eco-friendly I can use without scratching the plate?
TIA
Rachel
