I have quite a few Melissa and Doug toys and when I take the giant sticker off the bottom I am left with quite the yucky sticky residue on the bottom. How can I get rid of that? It's gross and it picks up everything from the floor, like fuzz, dirt and cat hair.yuck!

I have some stuff called Goo Gone that I love, b/c it takes off that stubborn gunk like magic. But rubbing alcohol or oil (like a little butter or veggie oil) would probably work, too.

Good luck!

I think we have goo gone somewhere in the house. But my worry with that is ds puts everything in his mouth and if he can't fit it in there he will settle for licking it. Also the goo gone has ruined some of our items in the past. Would rubbing alcohol or oil really work? Are either baby safe? Probably not the rubbing alcohol I guess.

We just had this come up with a bamboo spoon we bought dd to chew on--the price sticker had been right on the part that you eat from and it left a terribly sticky residue. Olive oil took it right off!
