All of a sudden my diapers are getting really stiff. They don't stink, but come off the clothesline really stiff and my LO seems uncomfortable in them. I know sometimes line dried stuff gets stiff-ish, but this is way different.

Here's what I do for the dipes-
One cold rinse cycle, then a hot wash cycle with just Charlie's Soap. Occasionally I then do an additional cold rinse with a little white vinegar.
I also use Charlie's on all my other laundry to avoid other detergent building up. I do use non-chlorine bleach on some of my other wash though.

Anyone know what this could be from?

I want to know too! My prefolds are super stiff. I do not line dry, I use Tide and strip with Dawn every few weeks. I do a cold wash with Tide, a hot wash with borax, and an extra rinse.

I think that's just how they get (if you don't use a dryer). I line dry in my home, and everything gets quite stiff. I asked about this in another thread and received many helpful suggestions on how to make them softer: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=916988

What we do now is spend some time scrunching everything before they go in the diaper drawer. I do the fitteds and DH does the prefolds.
