How much does your baby drink per day at around 12 months? We're still supplementing and I'm wondering if I'll be able to sustain him on just my own milk at some point.

My dd didn't cut down on the amount she nursed until after age 2. I don't know amounts as it was always "on demand" and from the tap.

good luck!

My dd is 15 months and still nurses a lot. I don't keep track of the number of times in a day- and I honestly don't think I could if I wanted to. I swear she nurses more now than she did as an older infant. She literally nurses like a newborn some days. But I don't mind.

I wouldn't count on your ds cutting down on nursing too much after turning one, but you never know. You'll get to the point of just your own milk before too long.

My baby only nurses before sleep and usually once during the night. So, about 4 times a day. He has never been a comfort nurser and has always been all business.

However, he's been sick, and has nursed more in these last few days.:

My DS just turned one last Friday and he still nurses A LOT--I don't know the amount he drinks because he's all from the tap but he nurses at least every 2 hours during the day, sometimes more often...he likes to climb up on me for a quick suck or two while he's playing and then go back to playing...and he nurses quite a few times through the night, too.
