well, I have to admit that it's a total bummer to me that Kerry is not going to be president and we have another 4 years of W in office. really concerned

I know...
Part of me says, "move on," but part of me has this sinking feeling every time I think about it. : : :puke

Hi! A word of unsolicited advice: you might want to head to the welcome mat forum first and introduce yourself and so forth before posting in W&P; it will help ensure a warmer welcome. This is an AP/NFL board, and most folks tend to post in the other fora first that have expressly to do with AP and/or child issues, before heading to W&P.

I'm still feeling it here, too. Everytime I see a picture or even a bumper sticker for W I get an angry/sick feeling in my stomach..

Still scared here, too..

Just my opinion:

Everyone LOST!

One day...it will be apparent. Meanwhile, as my dh says..."Hide'n'watch!"

Keep yourselves focused on your families and communities, and keep your eyes open for those who will no doubt fall through the cracks. Extend your hand to them and in so doing, let go of win/lose.

No one will benefit by the Bush administration's second term of smoke and mirrors either, in the long run...because in my opinion EVERYTHING has its' price...even for they who think they are righteously on top now.

yeah, the pell grants--i seem to remember the 3rd debate, when bush said the answer to everyone's financial problems was to get an education. hmm, funny how that works...not that i'm surprised, of course.

Welcome to W&P at MDC!

I'm still having a hard time too. I've all but disappeared from W&P cos I can hardly stand even talking about all this. I am still so angry, disbelieving, sad and scared.

I'm still keeping myself very informed, but its painful.. it really is... and its only going to get worse.

I will get back into the swing of real life activism hopefully soon, but I just feel so unbelieveably jaded right now.

but then, I am sure that the government will graciously up the amount that I can borrow. Funny how that works!

Me too. So so bummed. Now it looks like I will have a republican governor, too (I think they are re-re-counting, though). In a way, I am happy about the delay. I probably would have killed myself if I had had to accept both George and Dino in the same day.

I am really tired of being angry, though. I am trying my hardest to make connections with more people, even republicans.

Anyone else still sporting their Kerry sticker? I am leaving mine on until I have something better to replace it with.

Ladyluna, I hear you loud and clear! I'm in a Seattle suburb and it is too much for me to accept George Bush for 4 more years AND DINO ROSSI as our new (GOP) governor.... too much for anyone to take!

I am keeping on my Kerry-Edwards sticker on my car for awhile... I did find something that could serve as a replacement.... check out actforchange.com. I may buy their "NEVER SURRENDER" wrist bands.... and sign the never surrender petition... sponsored by Working Assets.

http://www.neversurrender.org/nevers...m?itemid=18106

We still have two on our car and my dh insists on keeping them there so no one will think we voted for Bush.

I'm still devastated. Owen (3.5 y.o.) saw me pensive as I put him in his car seat today and asked "Are you sad cause daddy's gone (business trip) or cause Kerry lost? "A little bit of both" I said! :LOL

To all those mamas who are still upset about the election outcome.... please rally the troops to get media coverage of the rally in Ohio tomorrow (and tell any Kerry or 3rd party candidate supports in and around Ohio to attend the rally). I wish I could go but I'm on the west coast with little ones. If I lived in or near Ohio, I would be in Columbus tomorrow in a heartbeat

Let every vote count and count EVERY vote!!! Here are the details:

December 4, 2004

Fight for Democracy Rally - Count the votes in Ohio

1:00 - 4:00 PM. Investigate ALL 88 counties! Rally to Demand a Full Re-Counting of the Ballots. Sponsored by CASE (Citizens Alliance for Secure Elections). They have been working to stop the acquisition of electronic voting machines without a paper trail, and have been active in working with other groups to gather information from the counties and determine whether the election was a fair one. Tentative speaker: Jesse Jackson.
