My 22 month old DD is down to 3-5 nursings a day. She loves nursing and I love it too, but I've been gently distracting her a lot because I am trying to ovulate.
I've been taking ovulation tests every day, and once in a while I will get a faint line, but the next day it's gone. There is still no ovulation, no period, no sign that my fertility is returning.
I am so sad that I am encouraging her toward weaning and I still can't ovulate. She sleeps through the night most nights, she mostly nurses to get herself to sleep. It is so frustrating to give up something we both love with no ovulation results.

Any suggestions? Anything I can do to get my fertility back? Should I try acupuncture?

Some women here have had success with Vitex. I do not have any personal experience here. Some have said it can decrease your milk supply, while others have had no change in supply.

Have you visited the TTC while nursing thread? You might want to check it out.

Good Luck

I've been doing vitex for a few months - no results. My guy is down to 2 feedings a day (morning and before bed) and still nothing. He'll be 2 tomorrow! I really want to ovulate too - don't know what else I can do other than wean, which he is clearly not ready for, so I won't. It sucks!
