I'm just starting the third trimester of my first pregnancy, and I need some help figuring out the whole nursing bra/tank thing.
I'm a 34E right now, up from a 32D pre-pregnancy. I know that I shouldn't buy any fitted nursing bras until my milk comes in, but I was hoping to have something bra-like at home so that I could get by in the first few days after my baby is born and not have to go out right away. Bras like the Bravado seem like a good bet, but I've seen that several heavy-breasted women here don't find them supportive enough. (Even before pregnancy, my breasts were too heavy to go without a bra for very long.) I'm interested in the nursing tanks like Glamormom and Target sell, but the sizes don't seem like they would work for a narrow-chested, large-breasted woman like me.
How soon after birth am I likely to feel well enough to get up and go bra shopping? How many fitted nursing bras am I likely to need?
