Well, am I the only one???????????

I am feeling fine. I guess that is why I stay pregnant so long! The only time I feel uncomfortable is at night when she really gets moving & this huge bump appears on my belly. I keep telling her there is more room on the outside, but she does not listen. *sigh*

I have another prenatal today. I am now seeing my midwife 2ce a week. She is coming to me today, so that is nice. My friend that went beyond 42 weeks with her last one (which was baby #4) sent me an email of encouragement. I need to hear stories of women going late. Give me hope that I am not broke.

Had my henna tatoo touched up yesterday. I want it to still be nice when I have a baby.

Well need to straighten up my house for the midwife. Have a good Saturday.
(This was the day I "predicted" I'd have a baby, oh well!!)

Many sighs around . . . I'm still here too. This weekend is my EDD by the Wood's Method, so I was hoping to have the babe by now as well. I wake up feeling very optimistic each day, but as the day progresses, it gets harder. I am thankful that he seems very healthy, kicking around lots (ouch!), and that I'm not in any terrible discomfort myself.

I spoke with a friend at the farmer's market this morning. She was overdue at this time last year and ended up going nine days overdue. That would be tomorrow for me, and nine days is sounding pretty darn good right now!

It is hot here today, but I'm going to try and walk our stairs for a few minutes each hour, and then do some longer walking outside tonight. My friend said going up and down a hill ended up doing it for her, so I may as well give that a try. At least moving is beneficial regardless, and it helps to take my mind off of things.

I am also up and down emotionally. Last night it seemed like I was having lots of contractions, but of course the same sort I've been having all along - too light to do anything, but I counted them and they got up to as frequently as every 8-10 minutes, which got me a bit excited, but then after a couple hours I didn't even have that, didn't notice any while I slept and I just woke up and nothing is going on now.

The midwife just left. I had my prenatal at home. It is so nice to be reasured all is well.
We talked more about my "due date". I pulled out my 2004 calendar & we went over those long lost dates. Depending on which date you use, scant spotting vs full period flow show me just at 41 weeks or slightly over. If you used what I think is conception date, I am only 5 days over 40 weeks.

Just goes to show you EDD are not scientific. Oh & we compared them to my ultrasound dates & the closest one was to my full flow period day, vs the scant or even conception date.

We also talked about what makes Moms go into labor & that they are finding is that it is babies adrenal glands secrete hormones that talk to the Moms's & then get labor going. Pretty interesting.

Hold Strong!!!

Hi ladies! So I'm 41 weeks and 1 day today. This was my woods EDD. And the date that I predicted I would deliver my baby when I first found out I was pg. Well, so far I've been proven wrong. I've had nothing to indicate labor is looming at all today. I think I've had one slightly uncomfortable contraction. I went and got a manicure and a pedicure today. They gave me like a 30 minute massage, it was sooooo nice. I was really hoping that it might stimulate something. But so far not a thing.

I had been hoping that the baby would come before June because we wanted to go to Cali and visit our family in July. I was aiming for traveling when the baby is about 1 month old and hoping to be there for DH's and my 1st anniversary on July 4th. That's exactly one month from today!!! Come on baby, you'll really like it out here, I swear!!!!!

Debstmomy-Where in So Cal are you? If you're not too far from my family, maybe we could get together while I'm down there. My mom and dad are in Ladera Ranch, one of my sister's is in Orange and the other lives in Yorba Linda. And I'm sure we'll be spending time at my aunts house in Newport. Are you close by? That would be cool.

Eaglevoice, I am about an hour away from Orange County. That would be cool to meet, IRL. Besides, when you are planning to come down, the OC weather is much better than where I am!! We shall keep in touch.
