I am wondering if there is anyway to get the smell out of my dresser. I don't know what the heck it is. I just don't like the way that it smells. I think it may be from the type of wood? It is a teak dresser.<br>
I have cleaned it out and then took a cotton ball with lavender eo and wiped the inside of the drawers. It did not seem to help. What else can I try? I stored all the clean baby clothes in the dresser and now I think I am going to have to wash them all again, because they smell like the dresser. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Set the drawers out on a sunny day. Sunlight helps remove the mustiness and any other odors.

I have used a bowl of white vinegar in each of the drawers overnight and it helped a lot. I have also heard that dried used coffee grounds spinkled in the drawer for a couple of days them vaccumed out helps (I heard this from a furniture refinished and he always used it to get the chemical smell out after working on a piece).
