My little guy, almost 3, puked for the 1st time in his life. ANd, he puked pretty much for 8 hours straight. Now, he's passed out on the couch asleep. He desperately wanted some bagels but can't eat anything. I do have some Stomach Ease tea by Yogi (sp?) and he'll sip that.

But, honestly, we're not a pukey family. I have NO idea what homeopathics to give or what to do other than just snuggle and wait it out.

Any suggestions would be awesome. THanks!

Personally, I've never really found a homeopathic remedy that we could keep down when we were puking. Most of them have a sugar base, and sugar just seems to upset my stomach even more.

My best suggestion would be to allow DS to eat following the BRAT diet -- Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. For at least 24 hours after he throws up for the last time. And if he'll drink the Stomach Ease tea, by all means, keep doing that! You definitely want to make sure he keeps taking in as much fluid as you can.

, for you and your DS, mama. Stomach bugs are no fun for anyone in the family!

Clear liquids are your best bet for now so he doesn't get dehydrated. Poor little guy! Nux vomica may help, it's helped me in the past, just be sure to consult on the dose for his age group.

I would try homeopathic ipecac....but first find a materia medica online or in a book if you have one to see if the symptoms match. If not, maybe Arnica?

And I would not even try to give him foods until he hasn't thrown up for a day maybe. Then go easy. Definitely let him sip the tea if he will.

If you think he'll have trouble with keeping a homeopathic remedy down, give one pellet under the tongue. That is sufficient.

Hope he feels better soon.

eta...arnica--I never would've thought of that but it is an overall body ache, isn't it.

I still think arnica is a good idea hmmmmm

I'll have to look arsenicum as it's not one I've used before.
