I do know that one of my preg symptoms is that I have an incredibly enhanced sense of smell. It doesn't make me nauseaous so much as just incredibly irritated.

Last night, I woke up to the smell of skunk. I woke up DH and asked if he smelled it. He grunted and rolled over. It took me about two hours to fall back to sleep.

I forgot about it until today when we were driving home and about three miles away, there was a run-over skunk. I asked DH if he had smelled it last night and he said no. Tonight, I'm sitting here with the windows open and there it is, the horrible skunk smell.

YUCK!!! I hate this smell. It is just so putrid.

Sorry, just venting.

Fortunately, skunk smell doesn't bother me. If it did, I'd be in big trouble... we live in Skunk Central! They're so prevalent around here that there was actually a disclosure about it in our forms when we bought our house.

If it's REALLY strong, we close the windows, but an occasional whiff from far away doesn't bug me at all.

Now, walking into work this morning, the smell of rotten milk was emanating from the break/conference room. EEEWWW! That was bad. Fortunately it didn't quite reach my desk, though.

I know last time I couldn't stand the smell of Softsoap. Fortunately I think there's none in my life right now. Lots of places have started smelling nasty to me in the last week that didn't smell nasty before.

Ugh, I went grocery shopping last night, and a maintenance worker was cleaning with a bleach-based cleanser near the fish counter -- the combination of smells just about did me in. I was literally walking with my hand over my mouth, willing myself not to barf all over the grocery floor.

It's the smell of coffee that does me in, these days! I work in an office at a local university, and faculty often breeze through with a latte or an expresso and I have to breathe through my mouth. I LOVED the smell of coffee once... but not now-hoooboyy!
