How do you store your produce that isn't refrigerated?

I have plates and bowls all over my counters with produce in them as my current storage technique. It takes up so much of my already limited counter space. Anyone have any ideas on how to store this nice and neatly?

Thanks!

Hi,

I have a bowl made of bamboo from IKEA (actually this one) where I store fruits like bananas, apples, grapes, stone fruits (ontop of the 'harder' fruits like apples), pears as well as normal tomatoes. Sometimes I put the grapes in little bowls instead and cherry tomatoes go into bowls as well. All other produce (currently I have an eggplant, zucchini, carotts, bell peppers, lemons, arugula, lettuce) go into the veggie drawer of my fridge. Yes, even lemons go there because the stay fresh for so much longer and won't dry out!

Ah, and onions and potatoes are stored under a rack in my kitchen where it's rather dark and a bit cooler. Both are in paper bags which is supposdly the best way to store them.

HTH a little bit
