Hi everyone....I had a MC about 7 weeks ago. This is my first cycle since and we decided to try again right away. I am using ovulations test strips (which worked for us with the initial pregnancy) but the strips have been testing positive for 5 DAYS IN A ROW.

This is not possible, right? Anyone think I could be ovulating more than once? Anyone ever have faulty test strips or know of anything that could affect the outcome? Anyone ever experience this?

Any feedback is appreciated. The strips were not testing positive until the 19th day of the cycle, so it's not like every test strip in the package is testing positive so I just don't know what to think. Also, I typically have a 28 day cycle with a few random 32 to 34 day cycles thrown in there. Today is day 23 of my cycle, so there is know way this potential pregnancy could "stick" unless this is a REALLY long cycle.

Anyone ever have a super long cycle following a MC?

Ok, thanks so much.

I have long cycles after m/c or pp. I typically o around cd30 on pp cycles. I think they would get back to "normal" (asbout 30-32 day cycles) but I always get pg after my first ppaf.

I have never used test strips so I don't know what that means.

Um. Have you taken a pregnancy test? Ovulation tests can detect the pg hormone... maybe you're pregnant.

Mine is similar to Danielle's. I had an early mc last month at around 6 weeks and this month I got a surprise BFP! I have a short LP so evidently I ovulated just after I stopped bleeding and now I am about 5 weeks along. Talk about a surprise. But because this one was caught so early, the were able to discover that my progesterone was low and I started supplements for that immediately. So I am hoping for the best this time around! I think you should take a test. You might be preggers!!!

I had blood drawn on Thursday and the results were 18,000 for my beta and 5.9 for my progesterone. I started taking suppositories and got blood redrawn yesterday and my beta was 28,000. But I didnt get my prog. #. I called the nurse to get my numbers again so when she calls back I will repost with that number.

Ok, this may be a dumb question but, is your HCG and you Beta the same thing? I might be a bit confused...

Yep. They went up. I called my nurse for the exact numbers and they were 14236 on 12/2 and 22154 on 12/6. So they did go up. I am anxious to see what they are on Monday when I get my u/s. I wonder if low progesterone can cause a low beta? Thanks for the answer to my question about the beta. I am glad that's straight!

That's weird.

Well the problem is that usually you need a beta of 10 to support a pregnancy. But I'm hoping for a miracle for you still.
