Strawberry pot

461 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Mama04
I bought a flat of strawberry plants at our university plant sale. Do I need a fancy clay pot (the kind with the side holes) or would a plain container be ok? We live on the edge of a forest, so I'm a bit concerned about deer nibbling, so I was afraid to plant directly into the ground. Advice???

A plain container is fine, as long as it's well drained
anything will work im planting mine this year in an old ammo box. As for deer place it on you deck or put a little cage around it. You could even put it in a hanging basket and put it up high on your porch where it would be safe from all the animals.
