is one set enough to build something "substantial" in size? how sturdy is it? can you toss a bedsheet over it?

we have something similar made of foam tubing and the kids love it, but we are not sure it will "fit" our new house

We have some--I thought I got them from oriental trading, but can't find them now. I bought three sets and you can build forever with three. Your link said they were flexible--ours arent. I think that would be cool. They are lots of fun because you can build something huge and it is still lightweight. We saw them first at my dds gifted class. So I got some for xmas last year.

As far as sturdy---we've never tried a bedsheet, but they are sturdy enough for playsilks. Our straws come in 3 lengths. I think they are 3, 6, and 12 inches. And the connectors look like jacks.
