My belly is sooo sore. I actually took tylenol at 4 am this morning bc I couldnt stand it...

It seems to be centered right below my belly button, but I am achy all over my belly.

I really dont think anything is wrong (preterm labor etc), but, am starting to wonder about my poor muscles!

Anyone else sore?

I'm sorry, that sounds miserable. My nipples are sore, but not my belly. Sorry I can't be of more help. I've been feeling this weird feeling, could be a kick or a gas bubble or pulling on a muscle slightly or something, but it's 1 in. above and to the right of my belly button. I don't normally have gas repeatedly in the same spot, and I don't think that the baby is up that high yet. I can't figure out what it is. Maybe it's just all the muscles seperating and moving.

Alisha,

Sometimes your belly muscles split right in the middle when you have large (for you) prego tummies. You may have had some damage in a prior pregnancy that's starting to get snarky again this time.

Women who had pregnancies with quads and quintuplets can have a major split that requires surgery if they want any belly tone back.

for me, it feels like my skin is being pulled sooooo tight. My tummy has grown much quicker this time (for 2 obvious reasons LOL), so my skin seems to not have caught up yet. I keep rubbing cocoa butter, but it just feels so pulled. ugh!

Ha! No kidding! I joked during my last pregnancy that DD was going to be the first baby born by "jiffy pop method!" The skin on my belly was stretched so painfully tight that I was convinced that she was just going to bust out of there one day!

My lower back muscles are totally screwed. I need a prenatal massage so bad
. I can't hold my DD for more than a few minutes. We also live on the
3rd floor, so getting upstairs with groceries and DD is kind of a problem since she only walks up sometimes but mostly wants me to carry her.

Monocyte, look at what I found for you on Dr. Sears! This was under pregnancy info for the fifth month!

NAVEL DISCOMFORTS
Around twenty weeks your expanding uterus presses outward beneath your belly button. It may hurt slightly when you walk. You may now experience occasional, minor discomforts in the area beneath your navel, and the navel itself may suddenly pop and become an "outie." (It will return to normal after delivery.)

Maybe this helps to explain your pain a bit???

I haven't experienced any navel pains yet, I guess w #3 I'm plenty stretched out, lol, and I haven't had them w the first 2. But I have pain like a cramp around my upper belly. Like above the baby and it feels as if all my guts are squished into a grapefruit size ball that is contracting. It sucks. Gonna ask my mw about it tomorrow.

I had some sharp navel pains yesterday when I was out walking around. Sharp and tender. But it went away after a few minutes.

I also get a lot of crampiness and discomfort in my lower abdomen. Especially when I wear these maternity jeans with a low waist band. I'm constantly pulling the waistband away from my belly as the day wears on. I suppose I'm going to have to graduate to panel pants at some point, but I'm not looking forward to it. They make me feel huge!

Speaking of odd pains since everyone else is also hijacking the thread...

I've been getting some pain way up high under my mid to right breast/stomach area that I think is gullbladder. I've had the pain before (in the last year) and it finally went away. I should figure pregnancy will bring it back

I absolutely know what you mean! DD wants to be carried more lately, it seems. Its like they KNOW they have a limited time left of being the only child!

I've been getting a stretchy feeling under my belly button, too, not so much as to need meds but it is not comfortable. It helps to hold pressure on it. It doesn't move like the baby but its does feel like its pushing out a bit, yet tight. The mw said last week that things are just out of place, and stretching or previously stretched from the first pregnancy. She said I'd probably get other weird, new sore spots, like my crotch and pelvic area. So guess what, this weekend, my inner thighs and crotch area were sore, like I'd done too many thigh master squeezes or something. Yikes.

Some things about pregnancy don't feel very natural.
