Im pretty sure this has been gone over but i need help with this. My DS (who is 2) has been having some issues and i am thinking it is from the diapers and that they need to be stripped. A few weeks ago i took his diaper off and there was a ll blood spot where his peepee was well I rushed him off to his pediaterician and they ran test and nothing could be found (a far as an infection or any thing like that) so he said it just looked irritated and to put polysporin on it which i did 3 times a day for 5 days as instructed. Well it cleared up. Well yesterday i thought i had noticed a lil pink on his diaper again but he also had spilled his strawberry milk and i thought well maybe it was that . This morning he wakes up and tells me he pooped (which is what he says for poop or pee) anyway so i change him and he did not poop but i looked at the end of his pee pee and it was a red (irritated) and a lil crusty looking (sorry TMI) so i cleaned it with water and put polysporin on it and will take him back to the Dr. tomorrow when they open (Labor Day today). I have 10 or so prefolds i can use until i can get the diapers stripped. Anyway has anyone had something like this happen ?? I pretty sure he is not allergic to fleece being he has been in Fleece diapers for the last 9 months and not until lately has he had these problems. Another thing is i am on bedrest (well modified because of PTL) so I am limited to what i can do. IS there a quick way to do these besides scrubbing each diaper ??? Anyway thanks a million ...

ohhh my DD nearly blistered from repelling FB's! the only time she ever got a rash!
i am nak so i cant say too much now....dont put those back on him until you get the problem solved!
eta: run some water over a dry FB and see if it goes through the fleece easily or runs off. this will tell you if they are repelling.
if they are repelling, you can buy some sportwash from the hunting section of walmart and put two capful's in hot hot water and let them soak awhile.
keep rinsing them in hot hot for several hot washes to get all the residue off.
then after they are dried give them the test and see if the water runs through easily again.
what kind of detergent have you been using on these and how much?
the best solution for your babies bum right now is NO diaper....i would let him air out as much as possible, and he will heal. poor baby! my karina got a rash so bad and im trying to remember if it did bleed....it got really bubbly and blistery! i feel so dumb for not understanding the repelling fleece problem alot sooner! my DH had to point out that the pee was running down her leg out of the FB before i got it.
good luck! let us know!
