Stroller ? re: Joovy Caboose

It's time to get rid of my side by side Maclaren which I adore

Does anyone have a Joovy Caboose? I hate the look of the Baby Trend Sit and Stand and think it's kind of bulky so this version of the same idea is appealing to me.

My kids are 17 months and 3 yrs and I could care less about a drink tray or the storage basket b/c we travel light

I think the Joovy is basically just an upgraded Sit N Stand, so it is just as bulky, sadly. It's a good idea, just too big from what I have seen.

How much does the 3 year old walk? Would he stand on a stroller board? http://www.babyproofingplus.com/item2826.htm would probably be lighter. You could also look into a stroller like an Inglesina Zippy or a Peg that has a built-in footboard for a kid who just needs to catch a quick ride.
We just got a Phil and Teds stroller. It is awesome. Smaller than the single Eddie Bauer stroller we got as a gift. Its amazing how many people stop my dw when she is using it.

Wow, that stroller is amazing, but OMG the price! =O Works out to $500.00 Canadian for the single. Ouch!
Is there any way you could get by with a single stroller? You can either wear the baby and push the 3yo, or 3yo can walk and baby can ride. I bought a double stroller when my kids were newborn and 3 years old. It worked for about 4-5 mos and then it got heavier and heavier and 3yo decided she could walk most places. My other stroller was a Peg Perego Pliko with the place for my 3yo to stand and get a rest if she needed to. That's how we got around the zoo and other places that required a lot of walking.
Thanks for all the replies

The Caboose is actually about a foot shorter than the Sit n Stand. I own a children's consignment shop so I've seen just about every edition of the Baby Trend model thru the years and haven't cared for any of them

I almost bought a Phil and Ted's stroller but my then 2 yr old said she felt like she was in a closet b/c she couldn't see that squashed that deal

I also looked at the Peg Pliko while we were at the store (slinging is always a good idea but unfortunately both my kids are big and the baby weighs more than his sister) and I've always liked that model but think that my 3 yr old would like a seat for those really long treks thru NYC to visit my family this summer. Not to mention our new and pretty large local aquarium. Which is really the only time I anticipate needing the stroller

I looked at it on Fri but my daughter was with her Grandmother so we'll see what she says this week

What about a Valco Runabout with a toddler seat? The seat is removable and the toddler will feel like a king.
