hey all,

I wanted to throw this out to you all-- and see what you think.

I remember having both these symps with DS, but way later......I am 5 weeks, almost 6 (sure of dates), and (1) I can already feel my body just pulsating. I can feel my pulse when I lay down, especially on my back. Very loud sometimes. Just an increase in blood supply?

But more disconcerting (not in an "i'm worried" kind of way, more like "oh crap, this is starting soooo soon!") (2) I am already unable to lay on back. I get short of breath, quickly and need to roll over. I remember this late in 2nd trimester, like when I would lay on the midwife's hard table for measuring, heart tones, etc.....and it got worse in the 3rd so that I was never on back even in my soft bed (I know I shouldn't be anyway, but I was desperate for some normal sleeping positions as my right side was no longer an option due to carpal tunnel-like swelling & pain in my wrist, and face down was obviously out).

What do you make of this, at such an early gestation? I am a G2 P1, never had BP issues or anemia (until PP time). I haven't had any blood work done yet and twins don't run in the family.

I do feel way more hungry and low-blood sugar and earlier this time-- maybe that's it?

Just curious to hear what anyone might think of this so early!

Thank you!
ETA: I had wicked back labor with an LOA baby. Almost always get back pain with menstrual cramps the first couple days of my cycle. Could this be a retroverted uterus pushing on my vena cava already?

Yes-- but that was in the first few months after DS was born (he is now 2.5 yrs)-- I had crazy bad PPD so they checked and it all came back normal.

I will have them check when I go in for bloodwork.
