Can PPD re-occur?
My story . . .I have struggled with depression through most of my adulthood. I was on antidepressants when I got pregnant but got off of them during the pregnancy. After I had my precious daughter I thought I was okay for awhile, but ultimately ended up struggling with PPD and like many people didn't seek help for awhile. I did end up seeing a doctor who supported me taking medical leave which helped. I tried an estrogen patch but it wouldn't stay on and gave me a rash, tried zoloft but it gave me insomnia and my milk seemed to drop. We then decided that I should just try psychotherapy, which I admit I never followed up on . . .anyway I felt like I did okay for the next few months, but now I am getting very blue again (and also getting angry a lot at little things).
I am not sure why things have gotten bad again . . .I have recently started menstruating again . . .could this be related?

it could be related to your menstration and the hormones getting back to normal. the thing is, once you have ppd you can have depression on and off your whole life.

some people do well with just therapy, but if it gets to bad you can try a diff. med, there are tons of them that shouldnt hurt your milk and should help you sleep. im talking meds if you get real bad.

i hope you start to feel better soon!

you could look at the site rebuild-from-depression.com
here is a helpful article abt nutritional supplements

http://www.rebuild-from-depression.c...and_nutrients/

that always helps me stop flipping out within a couple of days. and is pretty easy to go and buy some fish oil and b12 at the health food store. when i feel down i love to go there and browse anyway.
and hope you feel better mama.
