Our Rights as Pregnant and Parenting Students
http://www.girlmom.com/archives/000422.html
This was originally written for high school students, but applies to university students as well. It's kind of hard to read with the dark background, so I'll sum up here. Under Title IX, you have the right to:
- stay in your school and in all your regular classes;
- participate in all extracurricular activites;
- excused absences for things related to pregnancy and childbirth;
- receive make-up assignments if you miss class due to pregnancy, childbirth or parenting;
- receive the same grades and/or recommendations you would have received if you were not pregnant or parenting;
- receive prenatal care at your school if health care is offered to other students.
