Okay, I'm back and forth on not shaving.

Talked to DH about it for a bit last night, and he asked if I quit shaving, if that meant he should too.....

The problem is that I LIKE for HIM to shave! He is losing his hair badly, and 'embraces his baldness' by shaving his head and most of his face. I'm not even sure what he would look like if he didn't actually, as I've never seen him with hair.

SO my question is - if you don't shave, do your DH's not shave?

my dh shaves because he wants to.

i don't shave because i don't like what it does to my skin (i get very red, burned skin that is painful, and clogged pores - no matter what i try) and i am trying to love myself as a woman outside our society's ideal of what a beautiful woman is.

so, dh shaves for him. and maybe too because a full beard is not really a societal norm right now. but he'll have to come to terms with living up to someone else's expectations on his own...........

I would actually not care if he wanted to grow a full beard! My dad has one, as do most of my uncles, so I'm used to seeing men with hairy faces! : It's his head that I'm not sure about!

I want to quit shaving mostly because it makes my legs super dry and I get really bad red bumps, followed by flesh covered ones the next day. I really don't care what it looks like! I just wondered what everybody's SO did! Thanks!

I don't shave and dso has a pretty full beard. He trims and shaves to keep it neat. I've actually never seen him without a beard and we've been together 10 years.

But his beard has nothing to do with my legs.

I don't shave, DH does. He hates facial hair. Neither have anything to do with each other.

Interesting point. I don't think it has to be an all-or-nothing thing, though. It's about making a conscious decision to do something rather than blindly following what society says is attractive. So whatever you guys want to do is fine!

What does his face have to do with my legs?

I remove the hair from my legs when I feel like it, usually if we're going to be swimming. If I don't feel like it though, I don't. Dh has never said word one either way. He hasn't commented on my not doing anything with my underarms since winter either.

He shaves, though he will skip days, because his job requires him to be able to wear a respirator at times, and those are not as effective with facial hair in the way. He values his life over any mustache or beard he might like to have.

I have quit shaving my legs, and only occassionally shave my pits.
I prefer DH to be clean shaven (head and chin - he's bald, and just looks silly with that ruff of hair behind his head). But, it's his body and his choice to make, and he shaves because I like it better that way. sometimes he lets it grow and even wears a beard from time to time.

He doesn't shave his legs or armpits, though LOL :LOL
