I'm going to keep the old thread in my sub list in case I ever need to go back to it.

I'm going by Target tomorrow and I'm debating with myself if I should go in or not. Dangerous place.

Yay March thread!

I didn't post a picture of my outfit today, b/c it was almost exactly the same as yesterday. It's weirdly cold here, and that's cramping my style right now. My summer sweater came, though, and it's super cute.

Totally, totally agree about coats. Unless I'm wearing an enormous ski parka, I feel uncomfortable, and if I'm wearing a huge coat, I look like a marshmallow. I'm so tired of winter.

Kleine Hexe - too bad about that swimsuit. I've looked at that before and thought that it would be really flattering. I guess not.

I ordered a few dresses and a top from Delias because I was trying to break out of my Ann Taylor-rut. Well, my order came yesterday and everything looked cheap (perhaps because it was cheap) and was way too big. So the whole order is going back.

I'm thinking about ordering this dress instead:
http://www.tulle4us.com/shop/shop_de...=347&nPageNo=2

But, I'm having trouble deciding what color to order. The pink is out. I've been trying to avoid black, but I'm a winter, and I don't think that olive will look that great on me. So, should I order the boring black or try the possibly not-so-flattering olive?

Oh I love coats! But only autumn-weather coats. I love jackets and scarves (pashminas) and dress coats.

Accessories? I like cheapie bracelets and necklaces. I'm a simple, classic type dresser so I don't wear a lot of accessories.

I have also been sick with some stupid virus thats been taking its good old time hitting evey last one of us(there are 9 in the house) one by one......grr.
I still want to get that pic of my new trench coat up....maybe later today.
I'm not much into accessories , but the few i have I LOVE.
I have a pair of red and clear painted glass bead earrings(target clearance two bucks), a glass bead necklace that can be looped short or worn long.....a really pretty scarf that is earth tones( think , brown , olive , reddish , and maize colored).
hmmmm...and right now my purse is the most impractical but cute one i've ever owned. Its black it doesn't zip,and its small....LOL....and it looks like a stuffed sausage.
I need to clean it out.
Anyone doing spring cleaning yet? We've started (bit warmer down here than for some of you ladies I think) and I'm trying to throw out a TON of clothes I don't wear any more. Hopefully I can sell them at Buffalo Exchange but those chicks can be so snooty about the clothes they will "accept"... Whatever money I get from selling the clothes though I will definitely be spending on a wardrobe re-populating shopping spree!

I ordered some things from Delia's a year or so ago and also sent it all back. Their stuff is really cheaply-made and seems junky to me. It's too bad, because it all looks so cute in the catalog!

I love that Tulle dress. The only thing I worry about with black in something like that is lint. I guess I would go for olive. But as LTB knows, I am in denial about what colors are best for me.

I'm fine with wearing coats. I dunno. I'm always cold and I live in Wisconsin. I have one red down jacket, an orange-y red wool peacoat from J.Crew, and a long camel-colored wool coat that I need to have altered but love.

I'm not so good with accessories...but I'm working on that. I just ordered some jewelry off Etsy that should come soon.

I think you look best (in that series) in the green cords and black sweater. But what about a more GREEN green against your face? What is your coloring? I can see some of your hair but what is your skin tone like?

Do a lot of you guys wear cable knits? I just don't think I look good in them so I avoid avoid avoid. I think I have one...

My opinion is you can never be in an Ann Taylor rut! My fave fave store.

I say get the black dress.

I stopped by Target and I was really disappointed. All the things I saw online that I thought were cute looked horrible in the store on me. I ended up buying a shirt that was on sale for $8. I'll take a pic when I wear it. Speaking of pics....none today cause Flickr is telling me that I've reached my free limit. That's weird because I've loaded *one* pic this month. Maybe because I loaded the pic through Adobe Photo Shop?

Anyway, I did find an Alba lip balm on sale so yea!

Went to Marshalls and bought a pair of Liz Claiborne peep toe slides in black. I can't find a pic online anywhere.

So while I was disappointed in Target, I did find cute shoes.

ETA: Because I never get enough shoe talk....here are some converse I like

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/34591649/c/158.html

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/35886912/c/142862.html Love these but not the price

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/32180724/c/118566.html

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/2798477...women/s/2.html Also expensive

I like the tye dye ones best, but that is probably my inner hippy talking. I also like the woven ones, although I'd worry that they'd lose cuteness if they got dirty.

Cute top! Speaking of Nordstrom, do any of you shop there? I've seen good sales online and wonder how the brick and mortar stores compare as far as clearance items go. We had the first one open in my area this year and I've never been - trying to decide if it is worth the 20 minutes trip! I am not a shopper - online I like, but it is not how I'd choose to spend an afternoon.

Not sure what I'll be wearing today. Both of my pants (that fit) are in the wash and since I line dry they won't be ready for today. Skirt it is I guess. I wish I had nice tall boots.

On coats-- I never liked wearing coats until I found one that I just LOVE from Christa Taylor. I get compliments on it all the time!!! Because I mostly only buy stuff within one color palette, it pretty much looks good with everything. It's my only coat. If I were to go play in the snow or something, I'd need to buy a second, more sporty coat, though. I had an old sporty coat but it was looking yucky so I threw it out it this winter.

On bathing suits-- who shared that one from VS that they did not recommend? Too bad, it looked cute. I went with a cheaper suit from Delia's (about $40) and I'm crossing my fingers that it works out okay!!!
