I found this recipie for Orange Chicken Slowcooker style. The ingredients are as follows:
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
12 fluid ounces orange-flavored carbonated beverage
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 cup uncooked long grain white rice
2 cups water
Now my question:
What could I use as a substitute for the carbonated orange flavored beverage. It seems like an overall healthy recipie except for that.
What about orange juice? Orange peel? OJ concentrate? I don't know what the difference would be as far as oj being non-carbonated. Or how the oj would do in the slow cooker.
It does sound like a good recipe, so I'm going to see what other people have to say.
