I had an ultrasound today at 13 weeks, and guess what the Kumquat likes to do to pass the time?
Suck his/her thumb!

The ultrasound gave us a great look at the delicate little rib cage, the perfect little spine, little hands and feet, and everything!
The technician says she thinks it is a boy, but of course it's too soon to really know for sure.
All indications are that the nuchal translucency is totally fine.
Baby looks healthy and very bouncy!

My MIL is doing an u/s while DHs here on Tuesday or Wednesday. So just maybe then everyone (except for me) will possibly be finding out the gender of this LO.

I was so amazed -- I had no idea that the babe would have a sucking reflex so early, or be coordinated enough to get its thumb in its mouth. So cool!

Mine does too! I just had an u/s at 13 weeks and saw the same thing! I didn't know either that they could do that so soon.
