Suction cup place mats???

Has anyone seen a suction cup place mat (plastic) that has a "spill catcher" that hangs over the edge of the table? It looks perfect for restaurant dining. We were out to eat a few weeks ago and saw a mom with one. I wish I would have asked her where she got it.
TIA

yup, we have one. its in the shape of a hippo. to be honest i rarely lug it along with us as we don't have a car and i use the ergo and NO bags. i've got my things that come with down to a science. ha ha.

not sure where my mom got it from tho...i wil ask and post if i find out. it DOES work tho.
I love ours -- it's the same ones they sell at BRU, but they don't show it on their website, so here's another place online that carries them:

One Step Ahead
Yipppeee - thanks guys! I knew I could count on y'all. I even looked at One Step Ahead -I guess I just searched for the wrong thing. Hopefully I can just find it at Babies R Us.

: I'll have to be the voice of dissent here...the first time (and all subsequent tries) that I put this on a table in front of ds, it was promptly removed and tossed unceremoniously to the floor
I was just happy I hadn't paid for it!

I really hope it works for you, it seems like such a good idea

we have one, too, and although our now 3 year old used it quite happily the way it was intended (put food on top, pick up food and place in mouth), our 9 month old likes to peel up the edges and suck on it and chew on it and roll it up and pull it and suck on it and chew it and peel up another side and keep chewing and pretty soon, it ends up on his lap or on the floor. we're hoping it's just a phase with his teething situation, but he's a smart little one so i'm not convinced.
I have one too...also from OSA. We really like it, I just HATE thinking about my kiddo eating off a table that was just wiped with a dirty cloth and a solution that appears to be WINDEX when we restaurant-dine.

Now if only I could remember to take it with me when we go out!
Ours is the "Tidy Diner", and to be honest, we rarely used it. It just was a pain to tote around restaurants when 90% of the tables were wooden, or so scratched up that the suction cups never worked.

Dd also like to peel the suction cups off or try to lift the trough part up. It was handy though in the early stages of self feeding for us to just put her food on the mat instead of a plate, as the plate would eventually get tossed or end up on the floor.
I couldn't live without ours, we use it every day for every meal. We just stick it right on the table, makes clean up a snap! Ds also likes hearing the nursery rhymes on it........
