Sugar Peas AIO / cover / dipe for chunky thighs

357 Views 8 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  JennInSeattle
I have been looking at the SugarPeas they seem a little pricey, but if they are soft and comfy for my fella that's okay. DS is 8.5 mo, 23lb, 32" tall with thighs at 12" or so.

Anyone got a lil one w/ similar measurements that might have any info?

Thanks so much!

Are you looking at the covers, side snapping fitteds or front snapping fitteds?

On the covers are you looking at wool flannel or jersey?

I have a 9 1/2 month old who's 20lbs, 30 inches tall and has 10.5 inch thighs. He wears a small well on the second to largest snaps. Their mediums are pretty big but you'd have plenty of room to grow in them.
Jenn, Nathan is still in a small cover? I was just thinking I needed to order a Medium cover for Brodie. The small I have is just not giving me good coverage over my fitteds anymore. I wonder if a medium would just be huge on him though? He is almost 4 months and 15 lbs. I need to remeasure him because he has had a big growth spurt the last week or so!

In all honesty a medium would be huge on him! I had a medium for Nathan when he was around 5 months and it just swallowed him whole even though it fit on the tightest snaps. My small sugarpeas is wool jersey (and a midweight one at that) so it's stretchy. It gives full coverage over almost any fitted but what I love it best for is that it fits beautifully over my medium Elbees! I lays flat and is so trim! Do you have flannel or jersey?
Actually I was looking at the lg side snap (22 - 28lbs) mainly the wool AIO for the most versatility. Sounds like this might be too big.
My small is wool flannel. Wonder how has any jersey in stock? All I have seen are the flannel ones. It is my favorite cover, too. I was so hoping a medium would fix our coverage problem.
Yeah, I don't know who has jersey instock but I'm sure at somepoint jersey will be stocked again.

And I think a large would definitely be too big. Do you have waist or rise measurements for your little one?
Waist is 17 or 18" and honestly I'm not 100% sure how to measure the rise.
Definitely go for the medium. As for rise measurements, take your best fitting diaper and put it on your baby. Then measure from the top of the back, through the crotch, to the top of the front.
