Ok, I have three sp size 2 that I love, and three more on the way from the last stocking
. i have been contemplating trying to get a cover, but am concerned about the size. I have had LOTS of bad luck on many large size covers, though dd is officially at the very top of the weight range for most medium covers. SHe seems to be annoyingly in between. She is just over 22 pounds and skinny, her rise is about 18 inches. Would a medium sp cover fit for any length of time?

I think a medium would fit for a while. I have a Medium Sugarpeas windpro cover that fits my Nathan on the tightest snap setting. I'm not sure how much he weighs right now. He is 11 months now and at his 9 month appointment he weighed 22 lbs so I'm assuming a little bit more than 22 lbs. The medium fits perfectly

Another here with a 30 lb chubbo and he's on the second tightest snap in the large. I'm thinking of trying a medium but I'd be concerned about the coverage of the front of the snap-in too so that keeps me buying larges for now.

That was no help, was it?

Okay if DS weighed 22 lbs I would buy a medium with confidence. Do the measurements and email Carrie and that way you'd be able to see how many inches of space baby would have to grow into or out of a medium.

My first was 23-lbs and on the smallest snaps in a medium when she potty trained. I think her rise was shorter than 18" though. My seven month old is around 18-lbs and on the smallest snaps in a medium as well. I think the sizing is very generous!

I hesitated on the med size when I ordered a Sugarpeas cover for my DD also (it was all that was in stock in the color I wanted, so it was either the med or nothing). It fits her perfectly on the second smallest setting with an ample rise. She is about 33" long and about 21 lbs., and has about a 17-18" rise (I have not measured recently). I would say the med would probably work out fine for you.
